It was announced today in Women’s Wear Daily that Beyoncé is teaming up with Topshop to create an athletic sportswear brand for fall 2015. This is not a collaboration, it’s a partnership complete with a separate headquarters. Beyoncé owns a 50 percent stake in the business.
This Grammy Award winner is both a business woman and entrepreneur, Beyoncé’s brand includes fragrances, temporary tattoos, junior/contemporary dresses and denim and hip-hop inspired clothing from House of Dereon, formed with her mother over 10 years ago.
Topshop has over 300 stores in the U.K. in addition to flagship stores in Chicago and NYC . Topshop locations also include department store shops in many retailers including Nordstrom.
Beyoncé’s label will focus on developing a fashion inspired fitness line that includes clothing, footwear and accessories in dance, fitness, yoga and sports categories.
